Fifth CPR and Defibrillator Training Workshop Admission Ticket

This is the Fifth CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillator training provided by the local NHS Ambulance Service volunteer. There will be a charge of £5 per person and 100% will go to our local NHS charity.

Accompanying children are free (no ticket required) with a paid ticket holding Adult.

The village has two defibrillators located at the Eagle Pub in the village centre and the poplar Farm pub in Little Ann.

The session will cover what to do when finding a patient, recognition of cardiac arrest, how to deliver effective basic life support, use of a public defibrillator, how to use the recovery position.

Second IT Awareness Training Workshop

This email is an invitation to ANYONE no matter your level of IT knowledge to attend the second IT Awareness Training Workshop to be held on Sunday 23rd March 2025 starting at 2pm until 4:30pm in the village hall.

This workshop will be split into two parts:-

• • First part:-
    • In the previous workshop, I talked a lot about passwords and password Managers. I am going to build on this by going through step by step using a password manager called NORDPASS
    • I am also going to introduce you to Microsoft Excel showing you some of the basic use of this very powerful application.
    • I am going to give you a real life demonstration of using VPN plus a recap of the overview of VPN I provided in the previous workshop.
  • The second part will be a question and answer session on ANY IT related question. These questions should be the type that can be answered in under 5 to 10 minutes each. A typical example question could be “What is VPN and do I need it?”

Please bring with you either a laptop, iPad or mobile phone, but if you don’t have any of them available, it’s not a problem.
